Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Hi SujataMoktan ,. I have already done this, and it did not fix the problem. ASUS does not have audio drivers for my device, though it is supported for the upgrade to Windows 10, as they released an updated ATK package and updated touchpad drivers. What else could it be? I upgraded to windows 10 and I have no audio at all, and there is a device that doesn't have a driver in devices. Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

The suggestion above was what I tried first, but no luck. Somehow microsoft forgot to incorporate some of the drivers in there. Hopefully Asus will update the drivers for windows But the old drivers for windows 8.
I did wipe out the drive in the Asus TTA. Clean install seems to be the way to go, to get rid of any of the extra trash and also eliminating any problems that could exist with loose drivers and such.
If you have not fixed the problem by now, I had to revert back to an older Realtek driver version was what worked for me. I hope this helps you.

I have been struggling with this issue for weeks, never would have thought to use an older driver. The system wouldn't let me install the old Realtek driver so it was either 2 or 3 that did the trick. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

The other day, I was trying to install windows While it was installing, the screen blacked out and it forced restarted several times.
After it stopped restarting, it just cleared all of its data Windows 10 was not installed So it basically just factory reset itself I don't want that happening again so I'm just going to keep Windows 8. Now, to my problem.. The laptop can't play sounds anymore. When I hover my mouse over the speaker icon in the tool bars, it says "No audio output device is installed.
